If you have a house with an unshaded, southward-facing roof, you should probably consider an installation of solar panels. Although the solar panels have progressed a lot since their first introduction in the 60s, there are a lot of side factors affecting their efficiency. Non-tracking solar panel systems (i.e. the static ones, which do not follow the movement of the sun) should be pointed south and inclined at an angle as close to the area’s latitude as possible. The roof should not be overshadowed by nearby trees or other buildings. In most solar panel systems, even just one of its cells is shaded, power production can be significantly reduced. If your roof meets these requirements, you are lucky enough to be able to exploit the full potential of solar panels year-round.
There is one more factor which complicates the matters a bit further. It is weather. On rainy and/or cloudy days your solar panels will have significantly less throughput. Although weather is never perfectly predictable, this is by no means a cause for despair. Meteorological data gives average monthly sunlight levels for a given geographical area. With that data and your average household demand (your utility bill conveniently lets you know how much energy you use every month), there are simple methods you can use to determine just how many PV modules you’ll need.

Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris know they are not a conventional couple. So, why settle for a conventional wedding when the pair will exchange their vows on June 18?
“The dress is not going to be white,” Harris tells PEOPLE of the Romona Keveza gown she’s selected for the occasion. “I love pink! So, the dress will be pink and Hef and I want the wedding to be just a lot of different colors and to just look beautiful.”
Harris, 24, and Hefner, 84, are in the midst of planning, “and it’s pretty great that we haven’t argued about anything yet,” Harris says. “Things that I feel strongly about, he’s okay with, and things that he feels strongly about, I’m okay with doing things his way, so it works out.”
Still, Harris admits, “It’s cute having him look through catalogs for wedding cake toppers! So that has been a lot of fun and seeing it all come together.”
Hefner favors strawberry cake, and so that’s coming from Torrance Bakery. The flowers will be fuchsia and turquoise, matching the Swarovski crystals that will adorn the more than 300 Papeterie custom-made invitations the couple is sending out.

The ’80s pop scene was ruled by two teen queens, Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. 
The former hit-making rivals announced that they are teaming up to go on a tour together, themed after the decade that made them famous.
“We want to journey through the ’80s and all the artists who influenced us,” Tiffany told New York Post. She and “Mega Python vs. Gatoroid” co-star Gibson will cover hits by the decades’ icons, including Stevie Nicks, Reba McIntyre and Guns N’ Roses. Tiffany, now 39, sky rocketed into pop super-stardom overnight with her 1987 dance hit ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ from her debut album ‘Tiffany’ — while Gibson, 40, topped the charts with hits including ‘Lost in Your Eyes’ and ‘Electric Youth’ from her 1989 ‘Electric Youth.’
Tiffany has since made the jump from her pop beginnings over to country music and released her eighth studio album ‘Rose Tattoo’ in March 2011.

Robert Pattinson and newlywed Reese Witherspoon didn’t let the rain put a damper on star-studded premiere of ‘Water for Elephants’ in New York Saturday night. “That’s incredible,” Witherspoon told MTV about the fans who waited for hours in the rain — some almost an entire day — just to see them. “That was very sweet, their dedication to the movie and the book, and to Rob.”
“Let’s not kid ourselves,” she joked about Pattinson’s ‘Twilight’ following. “They like me. I’m OK. I’m a consolation prize.”
Pattinson admitted he enjoys the “nice” fans that visit on-set but isn’t always a fan of working the red carpet.
“It’s kinda work, it’s kinda fun,” he said. “You only get to do it a few times a year.”
Witherspoon jumped in, telling her co-star, “You do it more than the average person, actually! I don’t do it a couple times a year. I do it once a year, maybe.”

on and off the dance floor. The Disney darling confirmed she’s dating former ‘One Tree Hill’ and ‘Laguna Beach’ star Stephen Colletti.

The new Bollywood remix follows Gaga’s recently released ‘Born This Way’ country road remix and is a nod to her global fan base.

The title is definitely the same. However the show is nothing like the original. It’s much darker, so no hairy basketball shots. We just finished shooting; we shot in Atlanta for six months, so I’m moving back into my apartment. If feels like I’m moving in all over again.
